President & CEO
As President & CEO of the Chamber, Jane Redicker provides vision and strategic direction for the organization, manages its operations, and serves business member needs, every day.
Having overseen GSSCC for more than 16 years since 2005, Jane has successfully led numerous and noteworthy initiatives on behalf of member businesses, including a public safety task force; defending local tax revenues collected from Silver Spring’s businesses from being allocated to other jurisdictions; serving on a county-wide task force to reform fire safety inspection; helping to resolve individual business member challenges with County and State agencies; and working with businesses to access local and state aid programs throughout the devastating Covid-19 pandemic. More broadly and on behalf of the Chamber, Jane has conceived, overseen, and carried out an aggressive, pro-business advocacy program at the local and state levels.
Jane is an active member of the Maryland Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (MACCE), the state professional association, serving several terms on the MACCE Board. She was voted Maryland Chamber Executive of the Year by her colleagues in 2013. She also serves as an active member of the Maryland Chamber of Commerce Legislative Committee.
Before she took the GSSCC helm, Jane served from 1994 to 1998 as the first executive director of the American Chamber of Commerce in China in Beijing. Before that, she enjoyed a successful career in public relations and communications management.
Jane holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Franklin College (Indiana). She is also a graduate of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation’s Institute for Organizational Management, recognized as the industry’s most respected chamber management higher education program.
When Jane is not doing her utmost to help GSSCC business members achieve their full potential, she enjoys cooking, singing with her church choir, spending time with her husband Steve, and supporting her daughter Katherine, a mental health professional and aspiring psychology Ph.D. student in Denver, CO.
Director of Membership Development & Services
Courtney Jenkins supports the Chamber’s mission through membership development and member services. With a professional background in non-profit finance administration and collaborative program management, she enjoys utilizing her skills to help businesses and organizations thrive in the greater Silver Spring community. A Silver Spring resident and Montgomery County native, Courtney graduated from St. Mary’s College of Maryland with a bachelor’s degree in anthropology/sociology and earned her master’s degree in archaeology at the University of Southampton (UK).
In her free time, Courtney enjoys volunteering with Smithsonian Associates and going on hiking, kayaking, and camping adventures with her dog Luna.
Marketing, Communications, and Events Specialist
Julie Pawlikowski is responsible for executing effective marketing strategies, cohesive branding and communication, and engaging networking events. Julie holds a bachelor's degree in journalism and a master’s degree in media management, both from Duquesne University (Pennsylvania). Julie says she joined the Chamber team “to help tell our member's stories and bring awareness to the positive impacts GSSCC provides for the Silver Spring business community.”
When Julie isn’t crafting snappy subject lines, she is doing puzzles and crosswords, cuddling her cat Bruce, rollerblading, collecting plants, and frisbee golfing with her husband, Brian.
