Wheaton

Wheaton is named after Union General Frank Wheaton, who defended Washington, D.C., from invading forces during the Civil War in July 1864. Wheaton developed from a business district at the junction of three roads, which are now called Georgia Avenue, Veirs Mill Road, and University Boulevard. Wheaton is known locally for its ethnic dining scene. Many ethnic restaurants in Wheaton have received awards for best-in-class food in the Washington D.C. area.

Aspen Hill

Located along Georgia Avenue and Connecticut Avenue, Aspen Hill is a vibrant community with several neighborhoods offering diverse living experiences, including Manor Woods, known for its suburban charm and family-friendly atmosphere, and Aspen Hill Park, which boasts a range of recreational facilities. North Gate features a mix of residential options and close proximity to shopping centers while Stoneybrook Estates offers a blend of historic homes and modern amenities. ​
