Shop Greater Silver Spring Week is a weeklong promotion of greater Silver Spring retail businesses, coinciding with Maryland Tax Free Week, and culminating with Shop Burtonsville Day on August 16. The goal is to increase local shopping and exposure for greater Silver Spring retail businesses.
When: Sunday, August 10, through Saturday, August 16 Where: Retail businesses located in the 20901, 20902, 20903, 20904, 20905, 20906, 20910, 20912, and 20866 zip codes. The Center functions as a link to the County Executive's Office. It offers problem-solving assistance to neighborhoods, individuals, businesses, and County agencies. It also coordinates direct service delivery, focusing on the particular needs of each region; and works with a regional Citizens Advisory Board appointed by the County Executive and approved by the County Council. |
